is a level of well being, or someone who is functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioral health. Mental health may include an ability to enjoy life, and have a balance between life activities and achieving a level of resilience. Mental health includes well-being,
self-efficacy, autonomy, a level of competence, and belief in intellectual and emotional potential, well-being is encompassed
in the realization of abilities, coping with normal stresses, productive work and contribution to the community.

A person who struggles with behavioral health may face stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, addiction, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other psychological concerns. Counselors, can help manage behavioral health concerns with many treatment modalities, such as supportive talk therapy, more solution focused treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or with the use of relaxation, meditation and mindfulness. Counselors use many different forms of therapy based on the needs of the clients.
